My iBook died…

1:23 am on Tuesday, November 18, 2003

Well, my iBook died this week while we were on vacation in Orlando. I had been taking notes and went to upload our first day’s adventures and the screen wouldn’t power up. After fiddling with it in the hotel room I got it to come on but then it freaked out and I lost picture again. I could hear it was on and was logging me in when I typed my password.

When we got home this morning I decided to try an external monitor so I could at least get my notes off of it. It worked, for about 3 minutes. It looks like the video chip has gone tits-up.

I had to go old school this week and keep notes in a notebook which prompted the purchase of my only souveneir from our 5 days trip to DisneyWorld, a damn nice pen. I’ll be transcribing the notes from the notebook into the blog over the next few days.

I realized that these past five days was the longest I had gone without Net access in several years. And I didn’t die. Weird.

Same thing happened to my iBook. I sent it in and got it back in under a week and it’s been rock-solid ever since.

I did buy the extended warranty, however :).
